American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Tarrytown is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tarrytown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Iโm a lemon guy. I come here straight off the train greeted with kindness and fresh made to order drinks and food everyday. My only complaint I wish I wasnโt diabetic so I can try it all in one sitting. Lemon anything is tarty and sweet and everything is fresh. The prices are reasonable and worth it since anything feels like a meal. Whoever left a bad review doesnโt know what theyโre talking about. I love the atmosphere and those empanadas pockets are to kill for

Who would have thought one of the best bakeries in Tarrytown is housed in the Metro North train station. The empanadas and quiche are mainstays in the savory offerings while muffins and cakes were standouts for the sweets. A great place to chill and take in the sites of travelers and nomads making Tarrytown both destination and launchpad.

Amazing selection of baked goods and meal items with the freshest ingredients. Best tasting coffee products makes me want to savor another cup. Tarrytown train station transformed to a gourmet bakery and restaurant. We go out of our way for the best scones this side of the pond.

Bakehouse has honestly brought new life to the station. For years, the area around the train station felt a little empty and quiet, but now it feels much more welcoming with seating, service, and people actually stopping to enjoy the space. Their pastries are definitely the strongest part of the experience. The coffee is good too, but what really stands out is the variety of fresh baked goods they offer, both sweet and savory. Their empanadas are very good, and everything Iโve tried here has always tasted fresh and high quality. Iโve ordered cakes, cupcakes, and several different pastries over time and theyโve all been consistently good. The apple turnovers looked especially amazing the last time I visited. Itโs the perfect stop before catching a train or right after arriving if youโre hungry. I definitely recommend grabbing some pastries before your trip.
